What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a clear aligner system used to correct teeth in a similar manner to traditional metal braces. Invisalign aligners are made from comfortable, durable plastic and are removable. Their clear appearance is subtle and discrete.  Patients will wear their aligners all day and sleep with them in; they will only take them out to clean them or eat. Like traditional braces Invisalign treatment times vary, with some patients experiencing results in 6 months and others in 24 or more.

Why choose Invisalign?

Invisalign treatment is advantageous because some patients believe the clear aligners to be more comfortable and unobtrusive than traditional braces; patients also find the clear aligners and white attachments more aesthetically pleasing than the metal of braces. The Invisalign experience also feels more hands-on and personal to the patient than traditional braces do. As a certified Invisalign provider, Dr. Ann Granicz formulates your individual Invisalign prescription; the Invisalign program uses 3D mapping software to heed her prescription and move your teeth precisely.  During Invisalign treatment, the patient is able to track their progress and see treatment updates through their Invisalign Clin-Check portal. The patient is also responsible for keeping track of their treatment progress, as they are in charge of changing their aligners when the time is appropriate. While Invisalign is a flexible orthodontic treatment option, it is not right for everyone. Some alignment and bite issues cannot be corrected with Invisalign alone. Ask Dr. Ann at your free consultation if Invisalign is right for you.
